The Bubs were just too loud for me. More than loud, they were raspy. My riding Buddy had them too so I got a double dose. I eventually went to SE with fish tips and they were ok. The new bike I am leaving stock. Sounds pretty good like it is and my ears are not tired. MAy not be ok for some but for me, it works just fine.
I had the same ringing experience with my RH's. Wind absolutely made this worse. Changed to V&H Dresser Duals and Monster Ovals - much better IMO. Also, now using plugs or FF helmet on highway rides to defeat that beating wind in the ear canals.
I have have the Rinehart Black Slip-ons with chrome tips. At the end of the pipes I have a circular chrome emblem that has the Rinehart signature. Never had the buzzing sound and more like a sporty rubble. Definelty a preference sound.
I had an 04 Road King with Rineharts on it new from the dealer. I have never heard a nicer sounding bike. I just bought an 06 Ultra, everything stock, so I bought true dues from Rineharts along with the power commander and KN air filter. Thought I got a good price on the internet. Got the pipes on in about 7 hours and started up the bike. WAY too loud. Found out you have to buy the "quite baffles" seperat. So another $124 and I get the quite baffles and put them in. Still too loud and nothing like my 04. Sounds like some old rat bike, at least that is my feeling. It doesn't have that deep mellow sound like the 04 pipes. I think Rinehart screwed things up with their new design. Anyone had the same problem?
was the nice sounding 04 true duals or slipons, you mentioned the 06 has the true duals? I listened to alot of different pipes before I decided on the Rineharts; I'm one of those that swear the Rineharts sound better than anything else, thats why I bought em. The trueduals are def a little louder than just the muffs.
I wear a 3/4 helmet and can here the tunes just fine over the rineharts on my 07
RG. It still has the stock stereo but I have the 16" klockwerks windshield.
