...and most of the guys I know that call them "dressers" are north of 60. They've always been "baggers" to me, and I'm no spring chicken at 45.

In the '70s and '80s when I was growing up, you didn't see a lot of them, and sometimes referred to "full dresser", and a guy wearing a leather jacket, chaps, gloves and boots was referred do as wearing "full dress leathers".

Don't hear much of that any more

Seems like most in the industry are starting to use the term touring models now but they are all the same imho.

Dug up a 4 year old topic just to give your opinion on the appropriate term for a touring bike? And I thought I was bored.

As far as I was told, dresser=hard bags, bagger=soft (leather) bags.

I didn't see road sofa on the list. I love mine, wish I would of made the move ALOT sooner than I did. Bigdawg, that bike is kewl as hell, reminds me of an Afghan jingle truck, lol. Some of those suckers are decked to the max.

..... a 'rookie' @ 3200 posts ? i think not.
... a veteran whose garage apparently contains a big tool box, refrigerator & and an LTD ..... i definitely think not.
