Default Tire wobble on rain groves

I have a 07 Heritage softail with Metzler 880's and it wobbles on rain groves highways. Scares thehell out of me. I try to avoid the one road in particular but it's the fastest way to work.

If everyone's experience eventually matches mine, when all of these new tires are nearing replacement, the rain groove problem will come back. Evey new set of tires I have put on has cured the tar snake/rain groove problem, but it eventually returns. Higher tire pressure helps to minimize the weave once it comes back.

This thread is over 8 years old...Different tires usually fix the problem.

Here in Colorado, when heading up the hill it is best to stay out of the right lane all together - the chains the truckers throw on in the winter time create such an impression in the asphalt - rain or dry - they are a bitch to get out of...I don't care what tire your running...

Ran a new met on the front, a fairly new pavement, Oregon coast in the rain. The bike front end slipped on the pavement at LEGAL speed. Have since ran an E3 front, American Elite rear, to excellent effect. E3 sticks really well, but kinda short in the mileage department. Down to tread bars, but lots left on the rear. Now have the American Elite on front. Mostly ignores tar snakes, and rain grooves. These dunlops I like. The stockers I do not.
