I've have a couple friends due to ride my bike today. You wana make a bet they will be in H&D cycles next week ? It brought a smile to my face.
So thanks once again for the great build. I'm one happy camper.
I'll bet they won't touch "your friends, bikes" or yours again....
It's the old...."Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

I feel used and abused. I should of been kissed too. It appears from reading this that this was going to be the outcome all along.
A complaining person a response and a happy ending. This individual who started this thread was setting us up to advertise this place in Alabama. He did a good job. Kudos to you.

The Oil pump housing and cam plate had scaring on it which you could hang a fingernail on, its somewhat of a touchy situation. Harley gives no specs for oil pump inspection other that gerator clearance and abnormal wear. The gerator clearance was well with in spec, and I have seen many scared oil pumps work fine, but some dont.
To the best of my knowlede the scaring in the oil pump and camplate were causing the scavenge and return side to (talk to each other), which casued the oil to cavitate. This is just a assumption I have no way of testing the pump and or camplate other than the pressure relief valve. It still could be a restriction in a oil pasageway, and the extra volume of the oil pump is just bandaiding the situation. Short and simple, problem wetsumping solution camplate and oil pump.
