Very intresting to see. I think this is a first, for me, when a shop had taken the opportuninty to defend itself. I know from my experience dealers and some locals in my area are not the most honest. I learned that the hard way, more times than 1. I can understand both sides completely. Hd110 glad to hear you want to troubleshoot the problem and take care of the problem.

It sounds to me like the kid really knows his stuff.

If his shop was in my area I'd use them in a heartbeat.

I think I'd have to side with the shop on this one.

This is a CLASSIC example of why I always advise folks to 1)Do their homework and find someone that you TRUST to do work like this, 2) YOU have to trust them to do the job.

It sounds to me like they know what they are doing. Give them a chance to make it "right". He said he was not gonna go until the sumping issue was resolved.

One last thing..... NUMBERS DON'T MEAN ****. Stop worrying about "numbers". Numbers are not necessarily indicative of how a bike will "ride" or run. At the end of the day, "Rideability" is what really matters and will make or break the build.

I'm thinking the "Kid" is a marketing genius He either did or didn't already know that I got a kick out of the "bumps"

BTW...I'd let him work on my bike!

QUESTION: I've had to add a couple of quarts to my 07 RKC over 5k miles. Had MOCO check it while in for service. They think I can't read dip stick correctly and said it's not leaking or blowing out the pipes so they don't know why I've had to add oil. Can this be a wet sumping problem??? Also, can I check it myself easily (I'm technically challenged) or should I take it back to MOCO?

Probably deserves a new thread...

Anyhow, a "couple of quarts" is excessive i think for 5000mi. if your problem was wet sumping then there would be signs like those described - oil out the breather, noticable loos of power, damaged seals etc.

Final results on 106 build.

I picked up the bike Thursday. Took it for some break in rides. They already put 220 miles on it.

2007 FLHX
106 SS jugs & pistons 10.1 comp
195 psi ccp
HD stage 1 heads
woods tw -7hg-7 cams
se lifters and pushroda
se 50 mm t body
stage II big sucker
DD fatcat big bore quiet baffle

Max Power = 105.71 Max torque 113.44 sae

As I said before I would hold my end of the story till the end. The only problem I had with Heath working on my bike was the fact I wasn't asked or briefed on his skill lever.
