There's a place in KY called Beaver Lick (I have a Hat) but you can't locate it on a map. It's down the road from Big Bone Lick State Park. I also have a hat. Beautiful area of KY. I asked, at the park, why there were so many towns with lick in them and they told me it was because of the large salt deposits in the area. The mammoths used the deposits as salt licks for survival. Some didn't make it thus the big bones. I believe it but it also makes the area a target rich environment for a t-shirt run.
I also recomend Rabbit Hash Ky. Its a beautiful turn in the road in an historic area with a general store (all sorts of commemorative items). It's on the bank of the Ohio River and a great destination on a weekend (many bikes at any given time).
I have been thru Rabbit Hash Ky. It also is fairly close to Suger tit Ky. Its amazing what town you can find when you are lost.
