Default 1000 Mile HD Service $$?

I know, I know...do it myself!

For those of you that have had your dealer do the 1000 mile service, what's typically included and what can I expect to pay?

My dealer 'tossed in' the 1k mile service, even changed to
synthetic.......I think it was a 3 hour appointment and
probably close to 3 bills.
I have the invoice, no prices listed except for $75 hr

I thought I read somewhere in the warranty that you had to have the 1000mile service done by an authorized Harley dealer to honor your warranty. It said that it didnt matter with the rest, but you must get the 1000mile done at the dealer. A local Indy also told me that.

My dealer gave me the 1000 mile as part of buying the bike only have to pay 23.00 to upgrade to the syn oil. Actually went in this morning and just hung out till the finished 3 1/2 - 4 hrs didn't mind hanging out got the chance to look at the other bikes and listening to ones coming and going for the exhaust sound i am looking for.

Lightbulb I know!

Call the dealers in your area. What someone pays in another state is irrelevant.

They usually post the prices in the service department. Labor rates vary by state and locality.

My dealer charges $100 + parts = about $180 for synthetic.
