IMP, dont like batwings or lowers. just me.. S.G. would be my only consideration but wife doesn't even like them.

What ever floots your boat. If you like the look. Go for it . It's your ride. Do we need every bike to look like cookie cutter stamping?

Don't like the look of them...not even on my Ultra. If I had a Road King I would get soft lowers.

Exactly. Some of it depends on how you use the bike, bar hopping / touring. But as you get smarter (older) comfort becomes more important.

Besides, after a couple hundred mile ride you see how many bugs are on the windshield, fairing and the lowers ? I don't want to carry that much extra weight stuck to me.

Color-matched they look good but I think they take away from the classic look of the RKC. I got a pair of the black fabric lowers that slip and clip onto the crash bar for cold or wet weather, quick on and off and I can leave them in the saddlebag.

Looks great. I wouldn't have thought so but they are now on my list to watch for on EBAY. My knees freeze in the winter and this should help.
