Great Motorcycle Books - Make a list for me

Books
I read two books on my last trip.
I couldn't get out and ride but wanted to read about some one riding.
Lois on the Loose, see previous post. Nice book about a British gal that rode a 125cc bike from Alaska to the southern tip of South America
American Borders, by Carla King. American gal that road a Russian Ural with sidecar around borders of the US. If you ever thought you wanted a Ural, read this book. She had everything happen that could happen.
Check out Carla's website www.carlaking.com ( I think, google her name )
She has a newsletter and live podcast also. Last month it was on blogging while riding..
Jupiter's Travels and Dreaming of Jupiter are on my list to get next.

Adventure books ...
1. The Longest Ride: My Ten-Year 500,000 Mile Motorcycle Journey by Emilio Scotto. I read this while on the road last year. The guy did some serious traveling at time when there was an Iron Curtain and motorcycle travel was not nearly as good as it is today. A bit overdone on the dramatics, but you can get beyond that by the story itself.
2. 101 Road Tales (The Faces of Motorcycling) by Clement Salvadori. I have to admit I've not read this one yet, but I do like Salvadori's writing style. If you're been into motorcycling for any length of time you've probably read Salvadori (the guy in the beret) in Cycle, RoadRunner and a couple other rags.
3. Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road by Neil Peart (drummer with the rock group Rush). This book is not about the musical group. It is instead the story of a guy who loses both his wife and daughter, and then had to find himself after their death. Peart uses the road to help overcome the sadness (though I don't think you ever get really over it) and to redefine himself.
4. Leanings: Best of Peter Egan from Cycle World by Peter Egan. This guy writes (or used to write?) for Cycle World, though I have to admit I've not read the magazine in a long time. Egan does a decent job of telling a story, which is the focus of each of the adventures. There's a lot about motorcycles, but the collection of article is really more about what happens and who you meet on the road.
