6 ˝ speakers….which ones????

I had Focal K2p's in my M3. Sounded great on the board but could not get any mid/low end out of them at all. Not a very full sounding speaker at all. I know it's all in application too, with our bikes and being that there isn't a lot of room or any type of enclosure, you'll need a driver that sounds good in open air. I've got 5.25 Rockford's in my bike, were in it when I bought it, and they don't sound all that bad for a 5.25". I'm in the same boat..looking for a 6.5" that's a budget speaker and going to sound good.
Granted, it's a bike. It's never going to sound like the 6.5" ZR series JL Audio's in my truck and I get that..so I can't see dropping $500+ on speakers. Not going to notice the difference of a high end speaker or a decent sounding $85 pair of coaxials going down the highway at 75. JL has a budget line..can't remember the name right now...it escapes me. But they're made by JL under a different name. I had a set in my last bike and they sounded pretty good..and weren't very expensive.

Not sure on that..just throwing that out for a guesstimate meaning I wouldn't and am not gonna spend 500 bux on a set of high end components cause you're not going to notice/get the benefits as you would if they were in a vehicle other than a bike.

what i will say is that, you will get good sound, better than stock, by upgrading the speakers, so in that respect, most people are satisfied with way less expensive speakers... i normally get great deals on the stuff i buy, so the answer is very obvious to me... i am willing to pay the extra money to get what i want, when i am convinced that i want it...
with that said a pair of firecaps 6.5s are way less expensive than what i run, but they will sound good and be sufficient for what your goal is...
