Default GPS Mounts

Before I make my own, does anybody know of nice GPS mount for a King Classic, other than the gawdy handle bar mounts? I'd prefer a mount that would position the thing either at the base of the handle bars (like on the handle bar mount cover), or maybe at the top of the tank cover?

These people have got the widest variety of mounts I have come across. If they don't list it, you may have to make your own!

I recently bought a TechMount for my TomTom which I have mounted down low, off the r/h bar, which I reckon is a cut above most other such mounts. Look here.

They do a mount to replace the fuel tank door, under 'miscellaneous'.

I have a Garmin 205w. I recently bought a mount from Ebay that I love. It's chrome, small and looks like a stock part. I didn't care to have the big parts attached to the bars. You can just go to ebay and type in motorcycle gps mounts and you'll find it. You can pm me with questions. Works great for me.

I can't get the pic to work. The Ebay item # is 200331248732.

Maybe something like this set-up for a Garmin 760.

I'm real happy with these. www.leadermotorcycle.com Mounted a sirius radio and Zumo 550. They're machined out of billet aluminum.

Default GPS mount

Clint55's pics show the one I mentioned from Ebay. I love it. Hardly even notice it on the bike when the GPS is not on it.

Left handle bar mount, for me, has worked out the best. Reasons:
1. I do not have to look DOWN to see the GPS.
2. Allows passenger to see GPS.
3. Allows me to use left hand easier (to 'zoom-in, check next exit, whatever).
There are a couple others reasons that I will think of later.

Default My gps setup

GPS Mount by Ram Mount
  • Motorcycle Mount for Reservoir Bolts (2 *****) RAM-HB2
  • Nuvi 700-series Cradle
  • Long Arm (5-1/4")
This is the best system I have found, easy on/off
I have a camera mounted on the top ball.

I've got a TomTom, didn't like the handlebar mount, wouldn't fit good on my Elctra Glide Classic, not enough free space even to put it. So I stick mine on with the cup right to the Tach face, I know this doesn't help you though with no Tach but the bar mount I did have had a thumb screw for easy removal when not used.
