Default What kind of bolt is holding my front brakes on?

HELP!

I'm trying to remove my front brake calipers, but I don't have anything that fits the bolts holding them to the front forks. I'm working on a 2003 Road King Classic.

The bolts look kind of like E-Torx, but there are more ridges than E-torx.

Thanks in advance for help getting these out.

Steve

I figured it out..... Hold your breath..... The box end of a 10mm metric wrench fits perfectly.

Yep, an otherwise SAE bike with 10MM banjo bolts-go figure........Seems sacreligious, huh?

While we are on the subject, the brake line banjos themselves are also 10MM or 12MM depending on number of front discs, so keep that in mind if you order aftermarket brake lines/hoses.

Those are so far the only metric fasteners I've found on my "American" V-Twin, except for those found on many Kuryakyn add-on parts.

Question

Is it just me or does the smaller ones holding the pads in require a 12 point 1/4" wrench? Is there a metric equivalent so I can maybe use a socket?

Get a manual if u are unfamiliar with this operation. Your brakes are critical.

The battery terminal screws are metric.
