??Texas Inspection + Kury. Laydown FLHX ??
I guess I wasn't thinking today while at the dealer they were having a sale and I got and additional 30% off so I picked up a few things. I purchased the Kury. lay down tag mount but since I am in Texas I don't know what to do with the inspection sticker. I am hoping someone else from Texas will chime in and give me an idea. The new mount looks great and would like to keep it. I know I can't return it so what to do.

This is where my dealer mounted my inspection plate. Not sure on Texas law though if thats a legal location for it down there.

I took my bracket off and am carrying it in the saddle bag. I am a state inspector and have looked the manual over and its not very specific as to where it should be mounted, just that it needs an inspection. I've been stopped once already and nothing was said about sticker not hanging below plate.

The dealer just pasted mine on top of the taillight. It covers the license plate light, so I am not sure if that is legal either. Back in the day (late 60s) we used to carry them in our wallet. Here is a copy from the state code.
TRC §548.255.
ATTACHMENT OR PRODUCTION OF INSPECTION CERTIFICATE.
(a) An inspection certificate shall be attached to or produced for a vehicle in the manner required by department rule.
(b) The department shall:
(1) require that a certificate for a motorcycle be attached to the rear of the motorcycle near the license plate.
