I also think the pipes on my 2006 RKCI are too loud. I was thinking about getting a set of the Harley Screaming Eagle Street Performance mufflers. The HD web site says they will fit on 2007 and later bikes. Does anyone know if they will fit on a 2006 Road King Classic? Thanks.
Not to hijack but - Those "lolipop" baffles bring back memories! I had a set of those on my first bike, a Honda 305 Scrambler. The pipes ran up the side of the bike and the mufflers were removed but those baffles were installed. It worked like a charm and you could go from open pipes to quiet pipes quickly. Those baffles were more like washers inside with a hole in the middle though. Mine was a "hand me down" from my older brother and was a really nice turquoise blue color.

Aw, memories....That was my first bike, 305 Scrambler...I was the $htz....16 and on 2 wheels....it was a "Babe" magnet....mine had solid chrome pipes through and chrome fenders... and that awful big a$$ muffler...I cut that off right away (ha)....then painted it purple....those were the days.....
I went with the Supertrapp SE's and love them, nice deeper rumble, can still hear passenger while riding, wont make ears bleed at highway speeds yet when you twist the throttle will let them know your there. Just my .02
