I bought my 09 and did not get the extended warranty. I have been lucky so far with HD products. I will never put on 20,000K a year for the next 10 years...

Again, I have had good luck and hope it continues.

 

Got the ext. warrenty when bike was purchased on 10/31/08. Cost was ~ $1200.00, week or so later, got a nail in rr. tire and had it replaced with 1,150 miles on odometer . service guy told me it would have been ~ $350.00. So, for me, it is a piece of mind having
it, especially on trips.
