Do any of you guy's or gal's use the hand mic on the cb or do you stick with the one snapped to the helmet ? I'm debaiting to go to the hand mic because the one on the helmet feels so ackward .

I have one and use it quite a lot, works great with half helmets, run the CB through the speakers, mutes the radio when in use...can be a PIA at times, but works for me.

I use one also. A friend made a sort of necklace out of leather (like shoestring) that loops around the back of the mic and then put around your neck. then if in an emergency arises just drop the mic. and let it dangle. Just remember to take it off before you get off the bike.

I would not do that without a breakaway device ,In a wreck it could catch and take off your head or break your neck..just shrink tube it together instead of tying it! ( your safety department at work)

Guy at dealer was reluctant to sell them to us..he said they are dangerous..
I smiled, said well then you better not sell anyomore GPS units or cup holders either.
