Drive Belt Dust Question

Drive Belt Dust Question
I have a 99 Ultra Classic with 28000 miles. Someone before I owned it, had changed a rear tire a got the flap on the belt guard on top of the belt and wore one side of the belt. So this winter I replaced the belt with a new Harley belt. The newer belts are made of a different material then the old one was. A lot harder material. I used the same sprockets . They showed a little wear but not worn out. Belt alignment is good and it tracks to the outside when it rolled forward and the inside of the front belt drive sprocket when rolled backwards just like the manual says it should. Belt tension is correct. My question is when I ride I get belt dust or particals that sick to the inside of my exhaust. Is this normal with these new belts. Does it stop after they wear in? The new belts are made of a Kevlor or something like that. The older one was more of a hard rubber. Has anyone had any experience with this?
