Default Sadleman Saddlebag Deluxe Storage Bags

What do you guys think? I'm really thinking about these. Anyone have these bags?

I've been thinking about them too. A little cheaper at Eastern I think:

Probably like you, I'm worried about scuffing the paint though. If I get a set of these, was also considering a buffer sheet made from that drawer-liner matting on a roll that's like a grid of tiny rubber ***** all laced together (real "sticky" feeling anti-skid sort of stuff).

I guess me and you are the only curious ones. I guess I'm buying them

I hope they package it with a Porter-Cable dual action polisher and some SwirlX. I would think that they would heavily mar the clearcoat on the bag lids, especially on that beautiful Vivid Black SG.

Good point! How do you figure that though? Just curious. MAN!!! I would have to see these in person now. Another stalled purchase

Looks like they ride right on the bag lid, you are going to get fine dirt and sand under there just like with tank and fairing bras. Once that happens it is going to swirl and spider the clearcoat. I think the bags are cool, and look very useful. To me, it is not worth the risk of tearing up the finish as I would only want to leave them on there for extended trips.

Yep, I learned that lesson with a tank bag. That's why I said this...

Here's the "heavy duty" version...

...but maybe the el-cheapo kitchen variety would work better. What do y'all think?

Just thought of something else too...

What about passenger being able to reach their footboards? Need to put these puppies on backwards or maybe even that wouldn't work?

I thought about getting them....and using only on trips. I think you could put alot of 'lightweight' stuff in em.

Changed my mind on 2 accounts....

      Saving for something else...lol

You could buy some beat up lids off ebay and just use them for this purpose?
Although looking at the pic, it seems like the lids themselves will be taking up a lot of room in the bag. Is it worth it?
