Default polished rotors - 2 questions

I'm getting ready to do the chrome front end on the RK. Purchased the Harley OEM polished rotors.
1) Is it advised to have the wheel balancing checked after the new rotors are installed?

2) Upon close inspection of the new polished rotors, you can see mill marks. I can live with it, but is there a final method of polishing I could do myself to make these less visible or eliminated? Admittedly, I know virtually nothing about polishing. I do hear stainless is tough to get a mark free finish.

If you can still see marks in them you would have to sand them down with a grit heavy enough to remove 'em. Nothing that you do as a "final polish" will touch 'em in my opinion.

And yes, a balance job with the rotors mounted would be the best option.
