That bell is on front crashbar evil gremlins can and will bounce back up. Therefore ALL ride bells need to be placed as far back and as low as possible to work as intended. I would never run one so close to the front of the bike. But you do what you want . Theft?? a person stealing a ride bell would steel from a church in my opinion.I aint taking that chance!!!!!!!!!!!

What I have used for years is a product called a Bell Keeper (I think) it is a square head set screw with a small key ring that replaces one of the set screws for front axel covers.
I have never been able to find them online but lots of Harley shops have them. They come in 2 sizes 1/4/20 and 10-24.

You know when you get your chaps cut and you have that leather left over? Cut a thin strip and use that to tie it on. Won't scratch your paint or wear through, or cost a dime, if you're already bought chaps... (If not, check at your favorite local MC apparel shop. They usually have strips of leather hanging around from cutting chaps!)
