Default turn signal cancelation

I have a 2000 road glide. I bought it used. When I use the turn signals they don't cancel after the turn. Would anyone know how to fix that? I have a manual that shows a turn signal/security module. Is that the module that i would change? It is under the seat on the frame. I would apreciate any help I can get. Thank you

Are you leaning it far enough on your turns?

I have 850 miles on it. Must have leaned it enough at least acouple of times. City riding most of the miles.

Unlike a car, turn signal cancelation is based on a time/distance/lean equation. The first and cheapest thing to try is to clean the metal fuzz off the speed sensor. It is bolted to the top of the transmission. This sends the speed signal to the module. If that fails, the module you mentioned may need replacement.

Could be the TSSM. Also might be the speed sensor. I'd take it out and clean it. If that doesn't work I'd replace the speed sensor 74429-97C $54.70 before I spent the money on the TSSM $114.00

Thank you everyone. I just might try to remember to cancel the signal myself untill i get the money for new parts. I had no idea the price was so high, although it is a harley. I will clean the speed sensor first.

Tut60 Clean the speed sensor first and ride it and then start looking on ebay for a TSSM if you need it.....but it could just be the speed sensor.
