Question Do lowers reduce buffetting on RG?

Tried my third windshield today in my ongoing attempt to stop or even reduce the damm head shake/vibration/buffetting that I get with my RG at anything over 60mph and no go. It's still driving me crazy so I'm thinking of adding a set of lowers to maybe help with this issue.

The factory lowers cost an arm and leg so I'm looking a a set of HoggChopps, which seem to be more reasonably priced. Anybody using these on a Road Glide that could comment on how they work to reduce buffetting? For those that use them, how well do the factory units work? Any info appreciated. Tx.

I installed my factory lowers on my 09 RG today. Got 125 miles or so in and it was great. I added a clearview +1 since my last ride so I don't know if the clearview or the lowers did the trick but it was AWESOME. I had a 12 inch Klockwerks on it when I rode it home from the dealer and had to pull over to remove my helmet due to buffeting. Needless to say I am thrilled. Will keep the windshield on for now but may try to go back to the Klockwerks in the summer. Now for a new seat....................

I have had mine on pretty much since I brought the bike home, only a couple of weeks of riding without them. I really don't feel any buffeting at head level. I also have the kw 12" windscreen if that helps to know.

I have the factory lowers on my '08 Road Glide and they help to reduce the buffeting substantially. I'm really pleased with them.

I've had factory lowers on mine for ~ 5000 miles. I haven't had any issues period. But I've ridden bikes w/o fairings for 31 years. I have the 15" CB Euro shield - just enough wind (not buffeting) to remind me I'm still on two wheels...

I have Hogg Chopps lowers, installed last week and they all but eliminated any buffetting. there is still breeze but it comes over the windshield, not from below. they are a great design and filter air over the engine and away from the legs.
