Do a search and you'll find a ton of threads on this subject...that being said, you have to ask yourself what you want out of a GPS....sort of like buying a computer, what ya gonna do with it...

I have had several GPS units, all Garmin, I like Garmin's customer service...anyway I have the Zumo 550 now, and it's been a great unit...built for motorcycles....GPS, MP3 Player, Picture viewer, XM radio, mapsource to put on you PC for route planning.....

go to the Garmin web site and you can compare units side by side....

I agree Garmin customer service is the best. I also have a Zumo 550. Built for a MC. Left hand controls, water proof, shock resistant, etc.

I have a Garmin 2730 StreetPilot (with satelite weather and satelite traffic and satelite XM radio) for about three years (since the first week they were released) on my 04 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide. It's been ocean to ocean, Mexico and Canada with no problem.

We put the same model on Terrie's new Street Glide a couple of months ago. Bought it new on the internet for $270 just a couple months ago.

In the BMW we have a Garmin 2720 StreetPilot (because the BMW already comes with satelite radio.

We're very happy with all three!

Not Exactly! They are Heaquarted here but that's about it.

I have a Garmin Zumo 450. It's been very good and I highly recommend a purpose built bike unit because of the waterproofing.

I had a TomTom for the car and it was crap. The POIs were close to useless and it got my wife lost a couple of times. I've since bought her a Nuvi 760 and it's been excellent.
