I'm in Florida as well, I know I paid less than $40 for tags this year and this would be for the second year since new.

But different states get their revenues for roads differently. We pay 32.4 cents per gallon in state taxes. In Kansas where cbears reports it at $300 for tags the state gasoline tax is 25 cents/gallon and in Ohoi where Koalacowboy reports tags at $437 the state gasoline tax is 28 cents per gallon

 

In NY it's only $14 to register your bike for a year, but we only get about 4 months of real good riding weather!

They tax us hard on everything else here though!

With those Canadian rates and shortened riding season, I reckon there aren't that many riders. How much does it cost to matriculate a snowmobile?

 

Here in Nova Scotia it costs around $40 for tags for one yr.....its a rip-off what some of you have to pay.
