I would not buy from motorcity! Service sucks, their service write up people are idoits.
They had my bike for 2 weeks for a rear tire.

I have bought one bike from Motor City, and three from Brighton. All were good deals, all were friendly and willing to work with me on what I wanted.

Brighton went way out of thier way to get me a the bike for my wife, in tghe color I wanted. I needed it by a certian date, and they searched for 2 months before finding it, and since time was short by then, they sent thier driver out of state to pick it up so I would have it in time.

They have taken good care of my needs, and I'll keep going back for that reason.

I also will NOT go into Biker Bobs. wenbt in once, looking at a Screamin Eagle Ultra. No otehr customers in the store, and I stood by that bike for a long time and not one person approched to talk to me. I was ready to buy, willing to buy, and they simply seemed to not care of they sold the bike of not. After 25 minutes, I walked out, and with things I have heard from others, they will NEVER see me darken thier doorway again.

Let the shopping begin, I just sold my RK. I am going to look at the street glide and the electra glide classic. If anyone has found other deals in Michigan please post the info.

I've purchased form both Brighton and American and was happy with both. My 09 Sg came from Brighton and I'm very happy with them, no they arent perfect but overall a good dealer to work with. they dont ive a great discount on parts, but they may be doing more now than when I bought.

Keep in mind I picked mine up late last season so the 09's were still pretty new, the economy wasnt as bad as it has become since then. I paid basically MSRP plus 6% sales tax (no prep, etc fee's). I also got 20% off on accessories I purchased at the time of sale. I would have to imagine that you can do better now, I know I have seen them advertise $1500 in free accessories with a new bike lately.

I was in Town and Country last Sunday and was told MSRP OTD for 2 other bikes I was looking at, although neither was a Street Glide or Electra Glide. It shouldn't be a huge leap to assume the same deal for a touring bike at that dealership. They had a fair amount of bikes on the floor and also have a warehouse full of bikes to sell. Regardless of offers, I would rather pursue basic bottom line OTD price rather than "free" accessories. Dealers don't tend to give you 20% off of the "free" stuff, rather it will all be at full retail. You can also get almost anything from Chicago HD at 20% off anyway.
