I have the Kissan modulator and love it. It is an easy plug and go installation. I did not drill a hole in my fairing to mount the daylight sensor. I ran the wire thru the clutch cable hole instead and zip tied the sensor to my clutch cable at the handlebar. Holes in the inner fairing are forever. The modulator is a great upgrade.
Check out motorcycle metal. They make one and the owner is a forum member.
I looked at the website and found the HID conversion but not the headlight modulator. Do they make a modulator for the stock headlight ?
I don't want to do the HID conversion right now $$$
I've been running the Kriss modulator for 18 mos, plug and play install on my Road King Classic and absolutely no problems.
+1 on the Kriss modulator. i ran one on my 02 FLHRSEI for 3 years no issues i also used the tail light modulator which is another great product. btw thanks for reminding me i need one for the new bike.
Sorry to be such a noob but... what is a headlight modulator and what does it do exactly? What are the benefits?
I have read on several threads that it's an excellent safety upgrade and good bang for the buck, but I don't understand it.
Thanks for any info.
It is an electronic inline modulator that interrups the electrical feed to the headlight causing it to flash very rapidly making you more visible to oncoming traffic. Most modulators work with the high beam on and turns off when running the low bean. They are also controled by a daylight sensor that allows it to work during daylight hours and cancels the modulation when it becomes dark. This is the Kissan Link
