For less than $300.00 you can make a big differance by going with the new hogtunes speaker that is advertized as 20% louder than their last model, and also add the tweeter pod for amazing results! I did this and it is exactly what they say! So for around $250.00 you can purchase speakers, and you will still have $50.00 to take your significant other out for I ride, and a bite. I have an 07 street glide.

Get some decent speakers, 4ohm. Sony Explods can be had for around $60 and spend your money on an amp. Id say the arc mini. It will be day and night difference.

I noticed an immediate difference when I switched the stockies out for a set of Hogtunes. Especially at louder volumes. You lose the distortion.

I put Hog Tunes speakers in my Ultra, and did nothing else. They were an improvement over stock, but less than what I was expecting. I'll probably sell the Hog Tunes after I get a new speaker/amp package- I'm just confused over which one to get.

In response to the OP; yeah, there is so much info on this subject that it gets really confusing!

agreed, i love my tunes (lol, but no where near 300)... maybe get the rings/amp speakers from Firecap, all fits in the fairing, i will be doing a review on the rings shortly and possibly adding (4) arc minis, havent pulled the trigger yet, but tired of the alpine (sold it) and i would need (2) alpines to run my system anyway (the arcs, will all fit in the extended portion of my bags). firecap is a good guy and will take care of you...

I have an Infinity Sound System in my truck, and with the New Hog Tune Speakers, Tweeter Pod, and the AMP, the music sounds better from my Harley. The think that helps and I said it in another post on this tread is turn the Base down to about 50% and the tremble down to 30% or so. The system works.

For $300.00 the Hogtunes speakers and amp is the way to go. You can add the Hogpod later if desired.
