Default Any tips or tricks for PC III install?

Today i ordered a PC III from Jamie at Fuel Moto for my 04 RK Classic with stage 1 a/c, v&h dresser duals, and rhinehart slip-ons. Any tips out there that i should know to make my install to a little smoother. When talking to Jamie he assured me that if i took my time and followed the instructions i shouldn't have any trouble. Thanks in advance for your help, now come on Saturday.

You might want to put the connector next to the ECU instead of mounting it with the velcro on the bottom of battery tray, as shown on figure F in the installation manual.

I installed mine from FuelMoto the other day....very very simple. Mine is idling a bit rough but that's not Jamie's fault because I'm not sure exactly what the previous owner did to the Rineharts or if it has a Screamin Eagle air cleaner...even scarier is that the previous owner doesn't know either!!

Read the instructions and just Keep it Simple The fear of installing is just the tactic that people pay big bucks for someone else to do it ... Just go for it and will be surprised how easy it went ...

On my 08 Ultra without ABS, I found that the PCIII module fit real nice zip-tied in behind the starboard side cover. It was also a lot easier to just pop the cover rather than remove the seat to make any adjustments. Don't know if that'll work on your 04RKC.

When you guys installed the PC III did you have to reset your throttle, or is this optional?

no it is not optional (unless you have an 08 or 09, then i believe you don't have to do it). at least zero the throttle, the 100% is not as critical, but if you're doing the zero, it only takes an extra minute to do 100%.

if you don't do it, your map could be way off.
