Default Making My "Classic" More Classic w/ Pics

I've had my '09 FLHRC for about a month now and I love the bike but I can never leave well enough alone so I've already started monkeying with it. I got the Fuelmoto power package to get a little more performance than stock and the HD Brawler solo seat to get myself a better riding position than stock.

I'm also getting started on making the bike look a little more retro than it does from the factory. I added the 1963 style tank emblems and the round HD nostalgic aircleaner cover and the saddlebag guardrails. Small stuff I know... but I've only had the bike a month!

I plan on getting either the Klockwerks King Mentele or the Wild1 Dresser bars and chrome controls. I do like the performance of the Jackpot slip-ons but I think I'm going to switch them out for some fishtails or maybe a Samson Cannons system or the new V&H Big Shots. I'm also measuring and planning to fabricate a spring solo seat mount and fender mounted pillion pad.

Anyway, Here's a few pics of my progress so far. Comments and suggestions are welcome...

Looks great. It's amazing how a few small changes really changes the look. I am close to pulling the trigger on the same bike. I would put the same nostolgic air cleaner on (cant stand the football cover) and a solo seat. How does the new seat feel/change the riding postion.

Beautiful Road King and awesome camera. Pics turned out great. Like the solo look. Mine is set up for the wife. Maybe its time to ditch her. Enjoy the new ride.

Ha ha! Thanks for catching my brainfart Cloud9. The seat is a BRAWLER not a Badlander. I edited my post to fix it. Too much cough syrup this morning I guess....

It feels like the seat lowers you about 2" and moves you back about 2" as well.

Hey that bad boy really looks great. I'm waiting to see the chrome lowers on that front end to finish the look. You know you're thinking about it....Pull the trigger. You'll be amazed at how that will finish her off! (Remember you asked for comments) Very clean, and well done.
