I'll add to this question - Does the iPod hardwiring that they offer charge the iPod too?
I looked at their website, and found their pricing table to be a bit confusing. I didn't call since all my winter mod money is spent and then some, but next winter, I may have them do the blue backlight, iPod connector in the rear and pre-amp connector.

According to the site, the iPod connector does charge. Just read carefully (or I would say call them) because it seems their are specific models of iPods that will work.

I had the intermittent audio issues. I believe this to be caused by my cupped front tire. Although the bike is still under warranty [09 FLHX] I wasn't sure of the cause of the problem. I asked Mike @ Hawg Wired, and tested the PSC [I think] system with a line in. It functioned fine so must be the headunit. Sent it in, and it took some time to ship from British Columbia to the east cost USA. They phoned and said the unit required the soldering heat fix, and they did the display fix as well. In shipping the faceplate was damaged, so they repaired that too. They sent pictures along with it showing the repairs as well as the damage to the faceplate.
There are some issues with the HD HK units. Apparently sensitive to vibration??
If your warranty is toast $1000 [in Canada] buys you a new headunit.
Iron Cross Audio fixes the problem. ANY audio problems I'll ship to them in a heartbeat. As well they gave me 6 month warranty.
BTW they are 3 former HK technicians.
