Carlini 16", 1.5" thick. Pictures don't do it justice.

I can see out of them perfectly. I just look under my arms.

I dont know if i want to put on 14" apes or 16's. So should i order the wiring kit for 16" bars? And then put the 14" bars on and use the 16" wiring kit. And if I dont like them over a few months take the 14's off and put some 16's on it. Since i ordered the 16" wiring in the first place it all should work out good. Am i going to have any problems running the 14" apes on a 16" wiring kit? Or is there a cheaper way for the wiring? Do i just need the throttle extension wires and i can relocate the brake line? Do i need to do anything with the clutch? Im trying to do this all the most cost effective way. Sorry guys new to the forum and bring the 2008 electra glide home from the dealer tomorrow thanks for the help

Extra wires are not a problem as you can tuck them in the fairing. Extra length on the brake line and the clutch cable may be.

I would order the 16' wiring kit over the 14 just to give yourself options in the future. I ended up just buying good quality wire and extending the wires myself. Not sure on cable lengths. Check with Drew or Shawn @ Dr. V-Twin. They hooked me up with the cables at a good price and always responded to questions even after the purchase. Highly recommend them. O
One other thing is to make sure you check is the specs of the bars you want. As an example my 16" carlini's measure closer to 17.25", and at 42.5" wide (after installing the grips) they are about 5" wider than most.

Update - HCC uses the dimensions of Cyclesmiths but makes their own bars.

Had apes on my 'train before I sold it...

...so I didn't wait too long to put some on my RG. Carlini 17" Evil Apes. I am pretty happy with how they turned out and honestly prefer them to the stock bars.

Default WO 509's (16") on my 2012 RKC

WO 509's (16") on my 2012 RKC. Unbelievably comfortable...Much better than the Heritage 'Style' bars that these replaced. I'm 6'3" and these put my hands right at shoulder height.

Love them!
