After a long winter's wait, I finally picked up my new 2009 Road Glide from the dealer. It was the first bike I have ever purchased without a test drive so I was somewhat concerned that the Road Glide's reputation might have been perhaps overstated. I sure was surprised when I took the backroads home and got to experience the vast difference in handling as well as overall performance as compared to my 2005 Electra Glide Classic. Don't get me wrong - EGC is a fine bike but the layout of the RG is far less confined for me and it just feels right. Many thanks to all those RG riders who have posted information about their RGs.

The first 20 miles have confirmed that I made the right decision!

I am even starting to like the look of the fairing!

I got mine late Nov. and I'll tell ya it was torture, I'll never buy a new bike at the end of riding season again.
