ECM - I Think

ECM - I Think
Bought my FLHTI new back in late 02 (It's an 03 model) Had the dealer
install the stage 2 kit and put Kerker pipes on it. Right from day 1 had
a sparatic / no idle issue with it. Hot/Cold didn't matter. They tried everything
to fix the problem but with no luck. When I did a trip West in 05 I stopped
by HD heaquarters to ask to fix my problem and they replaced the ECM
with a different one (different set-up) and it fixed my problem. WELL
fast forward to this past winter and after having my bike stripped down
and internally cleaned and after it was put back together I once again am
having the same problem as i did back in the early years.
So my question is this - If the battery is left disconnected for a long
period of time does the ECM recalabrate itself to old settings?
Or for that matter are stock ECM's even programable?
Just seems weird (and frustrating) to me!
Any Help - suggestions??
BTW : I already replaced the Trans Speed Sensor - so I know it's not that!
