The only comment I would make on using a camera is that in the early 90's I was P&S manager for a large RV dealership. All of our 35' & 37' class A diesel motorhomes started coming in with backup cameras, and "boom", we started having tons of damage to units from the yard guys backing them up in the lot. Same with customers.
Everybody was using the cameras...........and forgot to use the MIRRORS. Camera's don't help when you should be shoulder-checking (changing lanes, etc).

This is a great idea and one that I have been thinking about myself but I have to agree with some of you that it should be used as supplemental viewing and not your main view. You still have to look over your shoulders to make sure. I was thinking about it more for when riding in a pack form. I do alot of group rides and it is nice and needed to see who is next to you and how close. Some people feel the need to crowd you and not know the rules of riding in a pack so this would be nice for that reason
