I have the detachable passenger backrest on my FLHX and I would like to add a luggage rack. In the description on HD's website they only say that the one works by attatching to the sissy bar and it all comes off in one piece. But I want one of the little more stylish luggage racks (Stealth or Four Channel) racks if I can get them to work with the quick detatch sissy bar. I want the stile, but still want the convenience of quick detatch. Can anybody give me any insight here?

I know that BountyHunter has the one peice sissy bar luggage rack on his. I have both docking stations on mine, so the luggage rack and sissy bar are a seperate deal. Plus I have the 2-up luggage rack too.

The stealth is not detachable.

 

53011-98 is the one you want for your detach backrest. Fits right on the sissy bar. Whole unit comes off as one.

 

Yeah, 53011-98 is the one I saw, but I was hoping to get one of the others to work.

HD Renegade - What setup do you have? are they both detachable?

The Stealth luggage rack replaces the existing chrome "C" shaped tube that connects the two sides of the bike above the taillight. Nothing remotely detachable about the Stealth rack.

 

Nope wont work. It looks good even with the back rest off...

 

I have the stealth on mine. It works great with the quick release back rest but like they said above, it does not come off. The nice this about it tho is it sits nice and low and looks great with out the backrest on.

 

Can someone post a few pics of the Stealth Rack, installed??
