Default FXRG Zipper

Been 5 years to the day and the zipper on my FXRG jacket went south and never zippes back up. Went to the stealer, and of course there is no warranty. Does anyone have another best guess for fixing it? I really like this jacket and do not wanna change or spend more for a newer model (of which now come with a 5 year warranty). Any and all ideas would be appreciated. thanks in advance and have a great day. Remi

Check with your tailor in town, anyone that is capable of doing alterations ect. Might be able to install a new zipper for you.

I got a zipper replaced at a shoe repair/leather repair shop a couple of years ago. Good luck.

If the zipper teeth split apart, you can usually easily fix it by slightly squeezing toward the middle of the outside edge of the zipper pull, on both sides, with a pair of pliers. Squeeze it a little at a time. If you do too much it will be really hard to zip- no prob, slightly open it back up with a small flat blade. I have adjusted dozens of zippers like this in sleeping bags, tents, and jackets. People think I am a wizard after I fix a zipper. Its really just a matter of zipper "maintainance". Now the secret's out. Hope it works for you...

Oh yea, if the pull seems too tight and wont start up the zipper teeth, the pull probably got smashed- use the small flat blade and pry the wedge on the zipper pull apart SLIGHTLY..

You guys are awesome...Kbore...I think I will try that method first and if not then check around and see what I can find to replay the zipper. 40 bucks is more chrome on the baby if I can save the zipper this a way. Same here on a jacket I bought at flea market. The zipper they put in was twice as good as original.
