Lol, I'm 10 hours ride north of the Montana/Canadian border. I hear ya about the cattle haulers. I go as wide and as fast as I can around them. That reminds me..... the lg clearview is also really good in the rain.

6'2", 16" cee baileys euro with stock seat and lowers. I'am very happy with this setup. I have tried 8 and 12" klockwerks and a +2" clearview. The clearview worked about the same as the cee baileys but hit the mirrors at full lock and looked like a frigging sail on the bike IMHO. The cee baileys has a great combination of fit, looks, performance and very fast shipping!

Clearview +1 (blem) here.... works better (for me) than
1) OEM
2) Cee Bailey +1"
3) Cee Bailey 8" opaque

Alas, you have to buy, install, and then ride before you get to see what works best for you.
I do admit, I'm intriegued with the Cee Bailey Euro

Another vote for the Clearview. I've got a medium shield with recurve and am 6'4". The shield looks great and the quality is top-notch.

Thanks for all the info. I'm only 5'10" I can see over the stock shield riding solo but when I have the wife on the back the top of the shield gets in my line of vision. That and the distortion make life miserable. The protection with the stock shield is not too bad. I don't get much buffeting until I am over 70mph.
Based on what I have been reading I think I will go with the Cee Baily 15 Euro. I like the looks and I think it will be fine for most of the riding I do. If I plan any real long trips I will put a larger shield on.

I think youll like the 15" Euro. I have one on my RG, and it blends form and function well. Basically offers the same protection as the stock shield with better looks.

Check out Clark's Custom Windshields. I went through several windshields for my RG before I found one I could see over AND got good wind protection. They are designed to stand up straigher thus pushing the wind over your head.
