Default What length Clearview?

I like the height of the stock windshield on my 08 EGC, 12". I'm planning on getting a Clearview to replace it and hopefully reduce the hammering on my full face helmet. Should I stick with 12" to match the stock, or go shorter?

Good choice on the Clearview. I have a 9 1/2 inch with recurve. I've experimented with different windshield heights in the past and IMO the problem is less about the windshield and more about the air rushing up from the forks and under the gas tank.

There are lots of posts on the subject but to recap try fairing wind deflectors (HD, Freedom Wings, etc...) and that between the fork wind deflector.

I am 5'10 and I put the 8 inch with the recurve on my sg. I also have the wind deflectors. at 75 mph the wind is a not an issue. I can hear the radio and I like the look of the shorter sheild.

Maybe 5'11 here and I have an 8"recurve and like it around town when it is warm.Does me a great job when I am helmetless. On the e-way the helmet has buffeting and make radio hard to here.My stock Ultra screen was worse.I would try a 9.5 as an all around screen.Good company great product.

the 6.5" with the celarview. Way better than the stock 4". i can now focus on the highway signs. I look over the windshield about 2 -3inches or so.. Im 5"10. Still gives a breeze at highway speeds. didnt ride much yet since installing the clearview during winter months. just my feedback.

I'm 5' 10"... Use a Sundowner seat. For me the 9.5 recurve did the trick. The 8" didn't quite do the job.

I feel much better about the 9.5 that I have on order... Seen so many posts about 8"ers...

8" CV recurve. 6 footer, stock seat and bars. Works great.

Agree, but what's been throwing me off is that so many guys are happy with 6" or 8" Clearviews. But I now see that some have lower bikes, lower seats, are shorter or taller. I think I'll try the 12" and hopefully it will at least cut down on the hammering on the helmet. I gotta find something that works or I'll sell this thing and just ride the Buell.
