First Ride of 2009
My bike came together a couple of days earlier than planned and am I glad I put in the effort. A new friend and chapter member, I made last year when I joined the Heritage Harley Davidson Chapter in Concord, NH, posted a message on the chapter's web site for anyone who wanted to ride yesterday to showup at the shop.
Well I stayed up till 11:45 Fri night and started again at 6:15 Sat morning to get my bike back together. Got it done, still waiting on Back ordered Oil temp gauge and my new Gas Gauge didn't work so original went back in. Otherwise the majority is done still have some changes but I'm realizing there will ALWAYS be changes.
I've mosted pics of Outer fairing and front fender in a previous post but here are a few from yesyerday. The inner fairing turned out great big difference. I must again thank Dawg from this forum for that idea, so Thank You. Outer fairing is from pictures I took Feb 24th on the way to work (64 mile commute). The saying "I Live This Life Until Life Won't Let Me Live Here Anymore" is a verse of "This Life" from Big and Rich which reflects my thoughts.
You need to listen to the other words in chorus also. The side covers idea came from a lamp I have at home.
It was a great day of riding, we put on 110 miles and another 18 to get home. I can't wait until Tuesday for my first commute to work, raining today and tomorrow.
Stay Safe and use all your Senses because there are alot who don't use the basic ones.
