I never thought I'd be happy with a CVO because I "made" my dyna and road king to my personal wants and needs and spent the extra money my way. Both of my harleys along with with my last 5 cars have been black. I had an "09 vivid black RG on order and was making a list of everything I wanted to do to it and the numbers keep going up and up.

I was driving on the interstate one day is a light drizzle and saw three bikes ahead of me, two black and the other an orange and black SERG. The SERG stood out like a beacon from a lighthouse. Having been hit from behind I'm very cautious about visibility and am more than a little paranoid. I knew on the spot the orange serg was the way to go.

My dealer had one on the floor that had been there for months. I gave him a call, cut a great deal and took it home. I've several posts here and in the cvo forum about my deal.

I haven't seen the paint problems everyone keeps talking about. By the way, the orange paint has a gold metal flake that is incredible - you really can't appreciate it unless you are in direct sunlight.

Long story short, even though I'm a conservative guy and didn't think I wanted the attention I'd get with the orange SERG I have no regrets or buyers remorse.

My major grip is the catalytic converter in the headpipes - the bike's ability to breathe is very limited and shoots the torque and hp to crap. My new headers will be here this week and then its on its way to a really good dealer for installation of the headers, new baffles and a super sert. With the improvements I know I'll get, I will be a happy boy.

If you are on the edge jump over and amaze yourself. Its and incredible ride.

I wouldn't touch the 110 engine with a 10" pole. harley needs to go back to the drawing board and fix there mistakes.

I probably talked to two dozen people before I bought my SERG about the 110 - not a single person who owned an '09 had anything bad to say. I only found one guy who had an '08 SERK who was unhappy and he went on to say that after replacing the head gaskets his motor was fine - he also said he had over 10,000 miles on the engine post repair with absolutely no problems.

I still think you've answered your won question! If riding on the fence that bad...stick with your tastefully modded SG! I know I would!

No insults to the 110 owners out there, but for those of you that said you knew someone with one that had no problems, how many miles do they have on it? Lots of 110s out there for show, no go. Those that go, many have had troubles. Again, if ya ride it and have no problems, feel blessed and hope it last! This is all documented on the CVO forums, also in American Iron Magazine or Ameican Bagger, sorry can't keep them two straight and they are in my work tool box. The last 3 issues so far are dedicated to the problems related to that pesky rear cylinder problem by Joe Minton I believe. Lots of dealers won't admit it, do your research. This aint new, happend on the CVO Electraglides with the 110s as well! Good Luck!

Decision made by the our friends at the IRS. Just found out some un-wanted tax info which takes a new bike off the table for now.

My new mods this season are some new valve cover caps and a couple oil changes, oh well.

To be honest, I was leaning toward keeping my payment free SG anyway.

Things happen for a reason. . . I should be greatful to even been able to have had the opportunity as well as owning a Harley for the last 20 years.

Thanks again to everyone who replied.
