I will let you know after I get my 9" windshield. Right now its not much if at all better than my stock HD windshield. I am hoping that the extra 2" will make a difference....(thats what she said...)
You've had the fairing for a while, how about an update. Would you recommend the purchase? How is the wind and/or buffeting compared to the RK windshield?
The 9" windshield has made a great difference. I would recommend it, with the caveat that you would have to modify the angle at which the windshield sits on the front end. you will need to modify the brackets (pics coming soon) to get the proper angle against the wind.
The angle of any fairing is really critical, as you've found out. Tilting it forward a hair should make a huge difference. General rule of thumb is to try and match the centerline of the shield with the fork angle (viewing the bike from the side) as a starting point, so it looks like you have room to play. I'm curious if you are referring to overall turbulance or protection from wind hitting you in the face?

Mostly from wind in the face. But the turbulence is not bad with the 7" shield. I would say that it is a step better than the stack HD shield.
