Default $1 mod that was sensible for me

I don't smoke, nor do I use the cigarette lighter element that comes with the Ultra. I do use the socket though once in a while. In order to do this if I'm on the road, I have to put the lighter element somewhere on the bike whilst I use the socket. So I decided to buy 91844-97 which was the $1 socket cover that comes in the HD 12v supplemental power outlet kit. I installed in on my cigarette lighter and don't have to worry about putting the element somewhere. Now I can just pop up the cover and plug in whatever it is I'm plugging in. I wish the folding tab on the cover was a little shorter as it is crunched up while closed, but it's doable. You would think the MOCO would put these $1 jobs on all the tourers and make the 5% of the people that actually probably use the lighter element purchase it as a $15 accessory!

I bet you lay awake at night just trying to come up with something new you can buy for your scoot.

Didja get your 20% employee discount too?

MOCO should do it your way and then they could come out with a new CVO version with lighter called the FLHT-SS (Screaming Smoker)! ;-) Should only add about $5,000 to the base model!

Write down the pn# and go to the parts counter and tell them you would like to order it.

Good Idea. I didn't know a part like that existed. Do you have to pull the faring off to get it mounted? I'll definitely get one.
