I've been putting these in my cars and have one on the UC. They're rechargeable flashlights that fit in your lighter socket and come standard on many VW's. You can find them on eBay if you search for VW flashlight.

I'm glad I saw this thread. Neither me or the wife smoke, but I did try the lighter to make sure it worked. Problem was, it never felt like it was in secure and seems like with a little vibration it would fall out. I don't want to remove it and leave the socket exposed, so this solution is great.

[QUOTE=Our07Ultra;4771549]I have seen damage to inners where the lighter was still hot and accurate placement back into the orafice was not employed. The burn marks look like crap even though you have to be looking for them. Seen smokers riding while smoking...nothing like hot ashes behind the glasses?
Any tabacco chewers?? Now there is a challange!!QUOTE]

The worst part is spitting a juicy dip...and realizing a bit too late that the OL is on back.

...Or was it an accident...hmmm

The "O" ring for your oil filter is $1.

The ring gauge of the OEM lighter is not the greatest. MoCo needs to make a lighter that at least accommodates a 52 ring gauge cigar. ;-)

Just keep it in my mouth and spit at red lights, stop signs, etc. If I get on a long stretch I'll eventually pull over and spit before I drown. If ol lady is onboard, I just wait for a (s)pit stop.

Thumbs up Cigarette Lighter Mod per "DAWG"

Dawg
You da man. I smoke cigars on occasion after the ride and the HD lighter is useless so I carry a disposable lighter. The only reason for me to use the bikes lighter is like you to charge electronics. I like what you did and remembered I had a new HD add on lighter I bought when I had my Road King. I took off the rubber cap and installed in on my 08 Electra Glide, looks great and like the factory did it!! Thanks for the suggestion, man I love this forum!!
Thanks again DAWG!! Ride Safe, Bill
