Most lower the front 1" to compensate for the 1.5" additional height you'll get with the 21". It's your preference, try without and then lower it if needed. I've already dropped mine an inch and getting ready to order my 21" setup once I make up my mind which one to go with.

Not sure what bike you ride, if you lowered the rear you may want to lower the front. I didn't lower my front and don't intend too.

I've run the 21/18 on my 06 SG for about a year, just today i installed the Ness front lowering kit 1.5" and 54 dollars, best thing i ever did, I'm suprised i waited so long, the bike rides so much better, and I though it rode fine before the lowering kit, knowing what I know now i say yes!!!!

Depending on your year up until 09 a 21" tire and rim would raise you up 2 1/2 ". In 09 it's 2" because of the 17" tire/wheel combo.
I have a 16" in the rear and 18" in the front. I also have a 1" lowering kit in the front too.

Don't have the 21" setup, but I scrape enough now, no need for me to lower. Although if I put a 21" on and go to say an 18", I'm going to lower the rear only 1". Oh, and to WorkD4it, your bike looks great! Very nicely done.

Whoa...

You can put a 21 on the front, and leave the stock 16 in the back??

Seriously??

I've got an 08 Roadie - and have been dreaming of the 21" front tire... Not in the cards to drop the coin on BOTH this year.
