the cruise systems are so damn picky it could be the tach. Just curious the dealer made sure they turned the tach option on in the ecm right? Sorry its giving you so much trouble.

 

I'm pretty certain they did that when they hooked up the code reader to the ECM. And since they also talked to Harley, and the indicator light still not lighting up, then tends to point to the tach.

Maybe it's a liability thing from the manufacturer, can't have the cruise working w/o the indicator light in the tach?

probably right about the liability thing...we all know some jack-*** would activate the cruise and wouldnt know it because the little light wouldnt turn on...he takes out a bus of handicaped kids on the 5 o'clock news...and bam lawsuit....
