Paint Code

Look underneith the gas tank on the right side. There's a tag there with the paint code. You can take this code to a PPG automotive paint store and they can most likely fix you up. PPG makes the Harley OEM paint and in most cases can furnish matching colors at about 1/2 the cost of buying it from Harley. That's how I got paint for my 06 FLHT.

The HD part no. for a quart of dark blue pearl is 98609CTV; touch-up is 98601CTV. If you buy the quart, it also requires the urethane activator, PN 99825-02.
If you want a PPG substitute, contact a PPG distributor and provide the year and paint name for your bike; he should be able to give you a PPG paint code for that color.
You can get the HD paint part nos. from your dealer's parts counter. 2007 and older colors are in a paint catalog; 2008 and 2009 are on the HD net--a computer based data source.
