The clutch is never too much, but being in traffic, or even worse slow speed precision riding spending 20 minutes it seems at time in the friction zone, every little bit of relief helps.

if the motor is built; you will have a tremendous time with clutch -- stop and go traffic will induce hand cramps.

Thanks for the responses guys. Dawg I really appreciate the part #'s for the ramps. I'll get those instead of 36808-05. It will save me some coin .

Thanks,

MRC has one that you don't have to replace the spring, just the Ramp and ball bearings, about twice the cost but IMO worth it especially on 103".

reuse the 3 stock *****

These are the ramps used on 06 and later which are the identical ones in 36808-05 which retails $44.95 The majority of folks that bought or buy the kit end up using only the ramp assembly anyway and didn't change the spring.

FWIW, you can also change out to different springs for different pounds if you have slippage

SE 380 lbs
98 330 lbs
04 300 lbs
06 300 lbs,

37951-98 Clutch diaphragm spring, high performance, is in SE Street Legal Big-Bore (EFI) Stage 2 Kit
37951-98 Clutch diaphragm spring, high performance, is in SE Twin Cam 103B C.I.
37807-03 CVO Clutch spring Yellow dot / Pink dot
37871-98A 2003 Spring Yellow dot
37871-04 2004 Spring Yellow dot / Yellow Stripe
37951-98 SE Spring Nothing
37882-06 06-07 Spring Redish Brown Square / Yellow dot

110" and 103" Engine Kits use S.E. Spring P/N 37951-98

Thanks for the above part number info. I am doing a big bore kit to my 01 RKC twin cam. 37951-98 came with the kit and I wasnt sure why since the package says "fits 98-later 1340 models and 99-later Twin Cam 88 models" if this was for SE why does it say '88 models'? So I questioned the dealer and they say I will have more torque, thus need stronger spring, I was like, 'cool'. duh, anyway, what can I do to ease the amount of force my hand takes to engage the clutch? is that the ball bearing/ramp on the transmission side replacement parts mentioned? if so, will it be noticeable improvement with this new spring? I drive a lot in stop and go traffic and would love some ease of use in that area. thanks

I had the HD reduced effort clutch kit installed and wished I had done it sooner!
