I love the www look and cleaning them is a pita if you let them get real dirty, otherwise pretty normal and quick with normal cleaning regimen.

 

WWW but yes can be a pia to keep clean.

 

I'm also a believer that WWW go with spokes. But I think the BW works with the black lowers. As far as up keep, use Lyndall breaks and wash them about every 1000 miles, they won't take hardly any time.

I'm going to make another pitch for BW since the E3s have no WW available. Search for E3 reviews and take a gander at how well they perform and the wear-life guys are experiencing ... might impact his decision .

 

I vote www, because I not the one that has to keep them clean. I finally gave up on keeping the www clean on my RK and went with BW's.

 

I'm a purist and normally would have said stay with the WWW since they look the best with spokes and your bike is a classic, but looking at your rendering I think the BW tires might look the best on your bike, taking into account all of the other things you've already done to black it out.

Alright. I have a FLHR and just ditched my NWS tires. Like you, I just put on a clean SG front fender and I have the laced wheels. Looks great, more sporty. You don't have a Classic, let the retro guys keep those WWW's.

And by the way. Some people say there isn't much difference in the ride/handling between stock 402 Dunlops and the Dunlop E3's. B.S.! The E3 handle way better! I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

 

I am a WWW fan and that is what I had on my RKC, but if you look at the pictures of Harleys, there are a lot more pics with BW then WWWs. So they are both retro, just depends on the accents to me. I think WWWs always go with Leather Saddle Bags. I kind of like BW with the hard bags.
