Thanks and I'm glad you see that too. That's exactly what I want; to tie the tank in with the whitewalls. I was also considering the red '40's badges but thought the '63 style would look better with my bike's color scheme.

Very nice, I was going to go with the 61's but they didn't fit the curve of the 6 gallon tank without modification so I went with these.

i did the same thing with my 09 except i chose the arrow style from '59 i think. the red ones. then i got touch up paint and painted over the red with my bike colors. did it all in photoshop first of course just like you and tried every color combination i could think of.
yours look great on that black bike!

The flow of the lines on the emblem match the bike very nicely.

I guess I'm alone but I love the stock "coin" emblem on the RKC; it's huge and makes the 6 gal. tank look smaller.

I've had some background in design and sometimes people often confuse their distaste of what's familiar with genuine appeal. Either way, just go with what works for you.
