OK, got it. That's what I thought since the beginning. Getting a good deal on an 2009 in summer when the 2010 models are out is pretty common and I would certainly expect to get $2,000 off list. That 10% of the price of an Ultra, so no biggie. I don't know anyone who would accept to pay list price for a bike that will be 1 year old as soon as it exits the dealership. Do you?
Now getting this kind of deal NOW is what I was talking about and thanks for confirming that ain't gonna happen. Looks like the offer I got 2 weeks ago for a 2009 at $1,000 off MSRP with no freight and no prep ain't bad.

This is not a dilemma, it's a no brainer. Take the AAFES advantage then you will be Jonesing every day to get back stateside to that beautiful Harley that is waiting for you.

 

I did get a reply from a somewhat local dealer. Although AAFES is hard to beat discount for discount (MSRP). I told them if they combine a discount off the MSRP and some other "Bennies" like throwing in a service or extended warranty, dropping the frieght and prep then we could deal.
